A total of 18 genera and 385 species, native to the Americas and Eurasia. One species is naturalised in southern Africa, and an additional six genera and 10 species are cultivated in southern Africa.

Cobaea scandens (Cup and saucer vine)

Native to Mexico, it is cultivated in southern Africa and is a rare escape in Zimbabwe.

Two species cultivated: Cantua buxifolia (native to Peru and Bolivia), and Cantua pyrifolia (native to Peru and Ecuador).

Native to California and Mexico.

 

Ipomopsis rubra

Native to the USA.

 

Navarretia squarrosa (Skunkweed)
