Oreobambos buchwaldii (Buchwa bamboo)

Recorded within southern Africa only from Mount Buchwa in Zimbabwe (Palgrave and Palgrave 2002). However, it is found more commonly in other parts of Africa where it grows in clearings of evergreen forest, in swamp forest, and along mountain streams. Has a bamboo-like appearance, growing in dense clumps to a height of 2.5 to 7 m.
