About 150 species, 49 of which are native to southern Africa.

Gloriosa

Nine species, of which three are native to southern Africa.

Hexacyrtis

One species: Hexacyrtis dickiana, native to Namibia.

 

Iphigenia

One species native to southern Africa: Iphigenia oliveri.

Ornithoglossum

Eight species, native to tropical and southern Africa and all occurring in southern Africa.

 

Sandersonia

One species: Sandersonia aurantiaca: native to Mpumalanga, Swaziland, KwaZulu-Natal and Eastern Cape.

Wurmbea

About 40 species, native to Australia (19 species) and southern Africa (21 species).
