The five species are native to Mozambique and southern Africa.

Arctotheca calendula


There are 62 species, all found in southern Africa but also extending into Angola.  



The 75 species are found in Africa, all except four of which are found in southern Africa.


The 15 species are endemic to Northern and Western Cape.



The sole species, Cuspidia cernua, is endemic to Northern, Western and Eastern Cape.



Two species, endemic to the western parts of southern Africa.



The only species, Dymondia margaretae, is endemic to the Bredasdorp district, Western Cape.



The 17 species are all native to southern Africa but two of them have distributions extending further north into Africa.


The three species are endemic to southern Africa.



Ten species worldwide, of which six species are native to southern Africa.



The three species are endemic to the Western Cape.



The only species, Heterorhachis aculeata, is endemic to the Northern and Western Cape.



The 12 species are native to southern and tropical Africa, of which nine occur in southern Africa.
