Five species, found in tropical and southern subtropical Africa, with four species native to southern Africa, occuring in the northeastern regions.

Gonatopus angustus

Recorded in southern Africa from Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa (KwaZulu-Natal and Mpumalanga).

 

Gonatopus boivinii

Recorded in southern Africa from Zimbabwe, Mozambique and South Africa (KwaZulu-Natal).

Gonatopus clavatus

Recorded in Flora of Mozambique. Not sure whether it has been recorded from southern Mozambique (south of Zambezi River).

 

Gonatopus petiolulatus

Recorded in Flora of Mozambique. Not sure whether it has been recorded from southern Mozambique (south of Zambezi River).
