Psocodea (booklice and lice)

Booklice are small insects with a characteristic swollen head. They feed mainly on fungus but also on unicellular algae , lichens and bits of plant and insect tissue. Some species can be pests of stored products. Lice (Phthiraptera) evolved from booklice.
