Formerly classified in the Rhizopoda (amastigote amoebas), which has now been disbanded because it is polyphyletic. Genera: Bigelowiella, Chlorarachnion and Cryptochlora.



Parasites and parasitoids of plants and stramenopiles. Genera: Plasmodiophora, Phagomyxa, Pongomyxa, Sorosphaera, Spongospora.








Uncertain position in Cercozoa

Genera: Cryothecomonas, Gymnophrys, Lecythium, Massisteria, Metopion, Proleptomonas, Pseudodifflugia.
